Fjøl Ultralight is an ultra lightweight 3-season pad. It's the perfect travel companion on all your outdoor adventures whether you want to save a few ounces on the total weight of your pack or if you just want to make sure you have some space for that little something that makes the camp-meal extra tasty.

FAQs

All our Fjøl sleeping pads come with their own stuffsack for protection during transportation, a pump-bag to easily inflate the pad and a repair kit should you be unlucky on the trail.

(The repair kit for Fjøl Winterlight and Fjøl Ultralight also contain a green flap and an O-ring for the valve if one of those parts go missing or break)

Yes, all our sleeping pads can be used in tents or on the ground, as long as you ensure that the sleeping pad is protected against potentially harmful objects such as pointy branches, rocks, etc. We recommend using a groundsheet or similar underneath the sleeping pad if used directly on the ground. Remember to dry your pad after every use, and to never store it wet.

All our Fjøl sleeping pads come with a pumpbag that attaches to the valve for easy inflation. Check out this video to see how it's done.
You can also use an electric pump to inflate your Fjøl pad. For Fjøl Winterlight and Fjøl Ultralight you'll need a pump with a diameter of approximately 21 mm, the valve of Fjøl is a bit bigger.

The R-value is based on tests done according to the ASTM F3340-22 standard. The R-value says something about the resistance in a product/material. When we talk about R-value and sleeping pads, it indicates how well the insulation resists heat loss. The higher the number, the higher the resistance, and less heat loss.

Stains from direct contact with hair/skin are not uncommon; it happens to sleeping bags, jackets, etc. as well, over time. You can try cleaning the spot with lukewarm water and some mild detergent (the one you use for wool, for instance), but we can't guarantee it'll completely disappear. Luckily, the pad will work just fine, even with some stains on it. Make sure you let the pad dry completely before packing and storing it.
