Skjold 10 is a lightweight Silicone Nylon Tarp that comes with guylines and stakes. Skjold 10 will protect you and your gear from the elements.

  • Skjold 10 is perfect for the Draumr hammocks, conventional hammocks (you simply turn the tarp 90 degrees), and for those minimalists who prefer to sleep on the ground in open air.
  • The Skjold 10 is approximately 30% larger than previous tarps.
  • The tarps lightweight fabric is extremely strong for its weight, and the slippery siliconized surface has an improved ability to shed water and snow.
  • Skjold 10 is ready to be deployed between two trees or set up using your trekking poles or sticks.
  • Reflective guylines, adjusters and micro carabiners are pre-attached.
  • Six lightweight stakes are included, all with reflective pull cords, making them easier to spot in the dark.
  • Skjold 10 packs easy by stuffing it into the generous stuff sack.

FAQs

Everything you need to set it up! The tarp comes with a suspension system, guylines, and tarp stakes. Seam sealer is also included if you need to seam seal your tarp.

The Skjold 10 tarp comes with all the parts for easy plug and play. Guylines are attached to eight points on the tarp. Two of the guylines have small carabiners attached for Draumr setup. The stuff sack has a small pocket containing 6 stakes for attaching the remaining guylines.

The tarp has reinforced corners for tarp-poles or a stick if that's your weapon of choice. This allows you to pitch the tarp in "porch-mode" which gives you a nice view of your surroundings while protected from the weather.

Move the carabiners around (or add more) for a different setup.

You don't have to seam seal your new tarp, but if you plan on camping in heavy rain we do recommend it as an extra precaution.

Seam sealer must be applied when the tarp is stretched out, and then it requires several hours to dry, this is a space- and time-consuming process that our manufacturing partners don't offer.

Our Skjold 10 tarp is made with a silicone-based material, the strongest and the best material available. Unfortunately, leakage through seams on tarps made of such textiles can occur.

Skjold 10 comes with a seam sealing kit that you can use to seal the seam. Your tarp will be 100% waterproof!
